I’m not typically a fruit vape fan, but this strawberry is pretty tasty. I don’t really taste the “shortcake,” but I’m still happy.
This juice achieves something that is rare in the vape industry: A very clear Strawberry Shortcake flavor that is smooth and sweet on both inhale and exhale, and won't kill your coil after a day. I'll be ordering more of this very soon.
This is a product worth supporting. For each flavor you order they send one self-contained mixing kit with a 30ml glass dropper bottle. The dripper fits well in pod devices so should work for any system although I acknowledge many prefer squeeze bottles for their increased ease. You also get 3 bottles each containing an amount of PG, VG, flavoring, or Nicotine pre-measured based on your order specifications. And finally, there are gloves for handling the liquids, namely the nicotine which can be dangerous in certain concentrations. In this case, the nicotine comes pre-diluted so it should not be a concern but better safe than sorry.
I am so impressed with this product because it is the first I have encountered in my 5 years of vaping that successfully restricts accessibility such that minors are disinclined to seek it out while legitimate users experience no real limitations. From what I understand of the teen-vaping epidemic, it is the ease of access and discrete nature of enclosed pod systems that make them appealing to minors. Not only is this product unappealing to minors due to its lack of a vaporization system, it requires a tiny, acceptable bit of tedium to turn into vape juice. Each bottle is labeled in the order they should be mixed. If you can count to four, you should be able to mix this juice. That said, if minors are unwilling to engage with tedium as simple as refilling a pod, surely they will balk at the mention of any steps at all. It is also comforting to feel like you really know what is going into the juice. Which is not to say it is free of risk, I don't know that we know the long term affects of responsible vaping yet. But it is nice to be able to say I put the four ingredients this juice is made of in the bottle myself. I know there is no Diacetyl, vitamin-e acetate, rat poison etc that an onlooker may accuse me of not knowing about. On top of that, all the flavorings they use are USDA organic. I also appreciate that the Nic Salts come in 18mg or 25mg because it is hard to find lower mg Nic Salts if you are working on titrating down off nicotine. And the minors want that 50, 60mg head rush so the lower salt offering is another dissuader. Most everywhere else I have shopped, the Free-Base juices are too thick for smaller devices and the nic salts are too high nicotine for my preferences.
Finally, the customer service I received was top notch. I came online to write these reviews and I asked the chat about damaged packaging. Two of my three packages must have gotten a bit shaken up as the PG spilled. I explained the situation and was asked to send a photo of the damage via email along with my order number. I was quickly assured replacements would be on their way. I believe they may even be replacing the whole package and not just the PG which is surely above and beyond what can be reasonably expected.
My only concern is for the longevity of the new company. Primarily, I am concerned about the shipping costs they take on with this product due to the all-inclusive nature of each juice. My order included three unmixed juices and I was surprised to see they came, all at once, as three separate packages. It made sense when I opened them and saw that each package contains the components for a single juice. This explains why the cost of shipping is so high. But if are going to order two, you can order three and get free shipping for the same price. So I did not have to pay shipping but I worry that will make growing the brand challenging in the future. especially if they are often having to reship spilled orders which seems potentially likely. Of course I do not have the full picture and the model may be completely sustainable.
One idea I had to counteract this situation which may in fact not even need addressing would be to have a sort of frequent buyer option where you could elect to have closer to bulk quantities of the VG and PG shipped to you and then order the specific flavoring and nicotine pre-measured proportions you want. This could cut down on shipping costs of the main product and allow for increased padding to be used on the more spill prone VG and PG. Of course this would increase the level of "skill" needed to mix the juice as the VG and PG would no longer be pre-measured. I also wonder if that would allow for people to buy their VG and PG elsewhere and then only come here for the measured flavorings. I am unsure about this suggested concept but just thought I would introduce it for consideration.
